Community Involvement
Condon Charles is a firm comprised almost entirely of people who come from Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. We understand the local community and are committed to playing an active part in its many organisations. Our partners and staff make contributions to the community through board and member participation, donations, involvement in charity events and by providing pro bono legal work.
Board Memberships
In early 2008 Shane Charles was elected the President of what is Toowoomba’s peak business organisation, the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce.
Shane is also Chairman of the Board of the Endeavour Foundation, a not for profit organisation which assists more than 3,300 people with intellectual disabilities around Queensland and has an annual budget of $130 million.
Donations
Condon Charles is committed to sponsorship of numerous charities and events including such as Toowoomba Hospice, Zonta, Special Children’s Christmas Party, Annual Brisbane Poker Run, Endeavour Foundation, the Leukaemia Foundation, Toowoomba City Bears Rugby Club, Hampton High Country Food, Wine & Arts Festival, Salvation Army Doorknock Appeal, Angel Flight.
Our employees are also active in the sponsorship of different charities through an in-house donation scheme as well as attending various charity days.
We are a sponsor of Jamie Lawson, a Queensland Rally Championship driver.
We also offer free standard wills to people interested in donating to the Toowoomba Hospice and PA Research Foundation.
Pro Bono Work
At Condon Charles we offer our services without fee on a case by case basis to a variety of organisations and in particular we are the honorary solicitor of the Toowoomba Hockey Club and we assist the Toowoomba Older Person’s Action Program.
Marquee
